Hotwire Hotel: Amsterdam HOTWIRE options

Based on this great site and some browsing i am trying to figure out these suggestions from hotwire for our extended weekend in Amsterdam this coming December (5 nights Dec 2-7).

If anyone can help confirm/confute these guesses I'd appreciate it.

 

1. Canal Belt East - Plantage 5* 161$ (original price 391$)

FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Indoor pool(s), Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Spa services, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower

tripadvisor rating: 4.5 (over 2000 reviews)\

My guess: I am almost sure it is the Grand Hotel Amrath Amsterdam (which is "what the last person got"). the only problem i have is that the original price listed is a bit on the pricey side for this hotel so i am not 100% confident of this guess.

 

2. Jordaan - Canal Belt West - Ann Frank House 4* 122$ (original price 200$)

FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Fitness center, Business center, Internet access

No trip advisor rating

My guess: The albus hotel. although it has a trip advisor rating of 4 and I am not sure why hotwire wouldn't mention that.

 

3. Canal Belt East - Plantage 4* 115$ (original price 177$)

no amenities described (and bidding helper couldnt find none either).

no trip advisor rating

So this is really a long shot, and the only thing that makes this listing interesting is the 4.6 rating for location + price. my bet is the Royal Amsterdam hotel for it's location, star rating and price which seems closest to fit all criteria.

 

Would appreciate any input on the above.

Best guess/comments for each:

 

1. Canal Belt East - Plantage 5* 161$ (original price 391$)

--> i would agree with your guess of the Grand Hotel Amrath Amsterdam. The crossed-out rate is not the retail price of this specific hotel, but is an average rates of hotel(s) of this star rating in the zone... it's meaningless when trying to determine the hotel being offered and shouldn't be used.

2. Jordaan - Canal Belt West - Ann Frank House 4* 122$ (original price 200$)

--> no guess... too many hotels in this area and too few amenities listed for me to gain any insight into this one

 

3. Canal Belt East - Plantage 4* 115$ (original price 177$)

--> with no amenities showing, and no hotels reported to the board in this zone previously without any amenities, i don't have a guess for this one

Not sure of your needs for this trip, but i will also point out both of these which get good reviews: (confirm your dates on each of the landing pages)

4 star Canal Belt Eash for $147/nite with:

Business Center

Restaurant

Free Internet

Fitness Center

... my best guess for this one would be the Movenpick Hotel Amsterdam City Centre

4* Canal Belt West for $115/nite with:

Business Center

Free Internet

Fitness Center

.... best guess here would be the Room Mate Aitana
