Good evening board. First time on here.

I am traveling with my wife and 2 kids to Chicago for our annual pre-Christmas trip.

I was using your search on Hotwire to ensure a quad occupancy room. I see two 4.5 stars in the mag mile water tower area on Nov 14th.

The first has an 85% rating on trip advisor and described as Water tower area Boutique hotel.

Boutique hotel

Fitness center

Internet access

Pool(s)

Self service laundry

Business center

Indoor pools

Pet friendly

Restaurant(s)

The second has a 95% rating on trip advisor and is described as Water tower area hotel.

Free internet

Business center

Indoor pools

Fitness center

Pools

Restaurant

Any help in giving me a best guess is appreciated.

Thanks

Restaurant

Business

Laundry

Hi-Speed Internet

Spa

...my guess for this one would be the W Chicago Lakeshore

for the 2nd property:

Free Internet

Restaurant

Business

Hi-Speed Internet

... my guess here would be the Hyatt Chicago Magnificent Mile

Honestly, with the weather the way it can be sometimes once you get into November, I'd rather be more conveniently located right off Michigan Ave at the potential Hyatt than right off the lake at the W if there's a wind coming off the lake.

Congrats on your success. :)

Great win for this property and glad you are pleased with the results. I think you made a good choice - the W is not a bad hotel, but I just think as you get further into November and December, if price is comparable I'd prefer to be convenient. The W is close to Navy Pier, but at this point of the year little is going on at Navy Pier and as much as it can seem a few degrees hotter by the lake in the Summer it can often seem colder by the lake in the Winter.

There's also a Corner Bakery across from the Hyatt as a sort of a "room service alternative".

Enjoy your stay and let us know if you have any city questions.

Thank you for sharing your win and please use the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches.

Enjoy your stay.
