whitenoise Posted October 26, 2015 Report Posted October 26, 2015 Hi, I've located a 4 star boutique hotel in the east village/LES on Nov 15 to 18. The rate is $250/night Canadian. The amenities are listed as pet friendly, boutique hotel, fitness centre, restaurant, business centre, internet access. I'm guessing Sixty LES or Rivington, what do you think? Thanks in advance for your input! One more thing ~ 90% recommended.

whitenoise Posted October 26, 2015 Author Report Posted October 26, 2015 I added the reply to my previous post.
thereuare Posted October 26, 2015 Report Posted October 26, 2015 My guess for this one would be the Wyndham Garden Chinatown. Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
whitenoise Posted October 26, 2015 Author Report Posted October 26, 2015 Thanks ~ even though it's listed as a boutique hotel?
thereuare Posted October 26, 2015 Report Posted October 26, 2015 Yes, my guess is that the Boutique amenity has been added since the last time this property was reported to the board. Is this the zone that you want to stay in OR do you prefer something more centrally located in midtown, as PRICELINE EXPRESS has quite a few offers in midtown around this same price point, if you think more of your time will be spent in midtown (or if that would be a better 'home base' for you to begin exploring each day). Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. I'm quote familiar with NYC so if you let us know your thoughts/needs/budget for this trip we can advise further. whitenoise Posted October 26, 2015 Author Report Posted October 26, 2015 Thanks. I go to NYC fairly frequently and really like staying around Soho/LES. That being said, I'm open to other areas if we can find a good deal and nice hotel (midtown, Union Square, Meatpacking, etc)
thereuare Posted October 26, 2015 Report Posted October 26, 2015 I know the Wyndham brand isn't the first chain that comes to mind when you think of high-end NYC hotel, but this one in particular does get good reviews... are you not interested in this property at this price? Confirm your dates on the landing pages but i also see: 4* MTW hotel for $188/nite with: Pets Allowed, Restaurant, Free Internet, Business Center ... my guess here would be the Cassa Hotel 45th Street New York 4* Chelsea for $189/nite with Free Internet, Fitness Center ... difficult to be too confident with only two amenities showing, but my guess for this one would be The Gem Hotel - Chelsea, an Ascend Collection Hotel Either of these of interest? whitenoise Posted October 28, 2015 Author Report Posted October 28, 2015 Thanks for the suggestions. I guess I'm still hoping that I may land something a little more swanky :) I'm still eyeing the LES hotel ~ since the Wyndham is a chain I feel like it shouldn't be listed as a boutique (unless that's something Hotwire does and I'm just not aware of it. Any chance it could be the Standard?
thereuare Posted October 28, 2015 Report Posted October 28, 2015 It could always be something other than what we think, but i'd be very surprised if this was The Standard. 'Boutique' is a very vague term and i wouldn't put as much weight into as you appear to be... i'll stick with my guess of the Wyndham. 'Swanky' in NYC is going to cost you a bit... are you willing to increase your budget at all? I'm seeing on PRICELINE EXPRESS what i think is The Strand for $233/nite; would this be of any interest?
