stu1901 Posted January 20, 2006 Report Posted January 20, 2006 Yesterday the hotel had resort status, sestaurant, pool, fitness, business centre, tennis courts, kidss Activites and laundry.Dates 28th June - 6th July.I assumed this was the Grosvenor at downtown disney from this website.Today i went back to hotwire and the hotel wasnt showing. Does anyone with more knowledge than me think that it will reappear or is that hotel gone at this price for my dates forever?
thereuare Posted January 20, 2006 Report Posted January 20, 2006 What was the price of the hotel when you saw it? What is the price of the 3* that is appearing now? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
stu1901 Posted January 21, 2006 Author Report Posted January 21, 2006 Hi sorryIt was $49 per night, its not coming at all for my dates now but searched a few dates i see its also avaliable in parks of august and september, but unfortunatly my dates arnt flexible.
thereuare Posted January 21, 2006 Report Posted January 21, 2006 ... and is there a new 3* hotel in this zone that is showing up for your dates; or are there no 3* hotels now showing in this zone for these dates (not including "condo" properties) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
stu1901 Posted January 21, 2006 Author Report Posted January 21, 2006 there is a new 3 star appearing, well certainly there is one but it could have been there before...$77 - pool, fitness, buisness, laundryby looking at this website it doesnt look as if its been defined yet.
thereuare Posted January 21, 2006 Report Posted January 21, 2006 Hotwire will only show one hotel, the lowest priced, at each star level in each zone.So since this hotel is higher priced than the previous one, the previous hotel either sold their allotment or pulled their lower priced inventory. I suspect they either sold their lower priced rooms, or started to book more rooms than they previously anticipated. If bookings start to come in less than expected they may release more rooms, or if bookings remain strong they will not appear again... nobody can say which way it will play out. stu1901 Posted January 22, 2006 Author Report Posted January 22, 2006 Hi,For a few days now i'v been trying to get a resort or 3* hotel in the WDW area but have failed.Dates - 28th June to 6th July.I bid up to $62 for resort.I bid up to about $53 for a 3* using all free rebid zones.I have done this process 2 or 3 times in the past few days.I think i am going to wait a while, as although i know its a busy time of year, from looking at past posts 3* hotels in the WDW area are usually accepted by $50. Would you advise me to do this? Thanks

stu1901 Posted January 22, 2006 Author Report Posted January 22, 2006 hi, but one post is for hotwire and the other is for priceline.the orgininal post was hotwire the most recent post is priceline.
thereuare Posted January 22, 2006 Report Posted January 22, 2006 We keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread as it makes the board easier to manage and reduces the number of 'unresulved' posts, as users tend to only update the thread for which they win and the other thread then has no resolution, leaving future users guessing what ultimately happened... if the user finally found success or gave up.So we keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread... if a different service is ultimately used then we move the thread once a hotel is received. thereuare Posted February 9, 2006 Report Posted February 9, 2006 What is the star rating for the above Hotwire hotel? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
stu1901 Posted February 9, 2006 Author Report Posted February 9, 2006 Hi, its 3*sorry i forget to mention it.
thereuare Posted February 9, 2006 Report Posted February 9, 2006 This is a match for the Radisson and that would be our best guess. I wouldn't believe this to be the Clarion (although anything is possible). The Hotwire Hotel List states 'may look like the Clarion' because besides the amenity combination above, the Radisson has also been seen with just Restaurant and Fitness icons... it is when shown with only Restaurant and Fitness that this property resembles the Clarion.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help.
