luiscastaneda25 Posted September 30, 2015 Report Posted September 30, 2015 Does anyone know, the hotel listed as 5 Stars: this are the amenities the Price is 104.00/Night Swimming Pool, Fitness Center, Restaurant Casino Business Centerany ideas? they are only 5 stars hotels in Panama not sure id is any of those two. never trusted the rating star system from express deals!
thereuare Posted September 30, 2015 Report Posted September 30, 2015 Welcome to BetterBidding! Is this in the Panama City Central zone? If so, my best guess for this one would be the Hard Rock Hotel Panama Megapolis. luiscastaneda25 Posted September 30, 2015 Author Report Posted September 30, 2015 That's what i thought, but not sure if the star rating was the same.
thereuare Posted September 30, 2015 Report Posted September 30, 2015 Not sure what you're saying above... but my guess was based upon more then just the star rating. Are you interested in the Hard Rock if available at this price? luiscastaneda25 Posted October 7, 2015 Author Report Posted October 7, 2015 i used to use Hot.wire before and their 5 star always happens to be a 4.5 hotel....that's why i stop using them. Yes I'm really interested on the hard rock, i was going to book that one, but doing it through PRICELINE EXPRESS deal i will save like 25% which is a great saving.
thereuare Posted October 7, 2015 Report Posted October 7, 2015 Price.line is a little more stringent with their star ratings... HOTWIRE a bit more generous. The two services often have the same star rating assigned for the same hotel, but when their is a difference, HOTWIRE's rating is usually higher by a half a star (sometimes as much as one full star rating) Although more feasible for longer stays, if you're concerned about the hotel you will receive, you could see if this same property is offered for the first (or last) nite of your stay and then again for the balance. If so, you could purchase the solo nite in order to 'look behind the curtain'. If you're happy with the results purchase the remaining nites, if not, make alternate plans for the balance of your stay. luiscastaneda25 Posted October 7, 2015 Author Report Posted October 7, 2015 Thank you so much for the tip.....i was about to booked but unfortunately the price increase from $104 to $120. at this point is a better deal to book it directly with the hotel i'm able to get the AAA discount leaving the price at 130 with breakfast and a blacony room. i will keep this in mind for future bookings. will use Price.line more instead of Hot.wire. thanks again for all your help.
