overresearched Posted September 29, 2015 Report Posted September 29, 2015 Hotwire said this was a four. The BB site has it as a 3.5. Used the Bidding.Helper which reported the following amenities: FULL AMENITIES: Pet friendly, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Accessible for visually impaired, In-room accessibility, Wheelchair accessible, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking Reviews for the Paramount are all over the place. Some love it. Some say it isn't clean. But, I don't understand the ones that ding it for the restaurant. Are you really going to eat at your hotel in NYC? Plan to use my savings to eat Nova at Russ and Daughters and Barney Greengrass.

thereuare Posted September 29, 2015 Report Posted September 29, 2015 This is an older/historic hotel which are usually difficult to maintain and that is likely the reason for the wide range of reviews you may see for this property. Two nearby breakfast recommendations: Ess-a-Bagel 831 3rd Ave (on Third Ave between 50th and 51st St) Best Bagel and Coffee 225 W 35th St (between Seventh Ave and Eight Ave) Ess-a-Bagel is likely the better option for lox/nova... but Best Bagel makes an excellent bagel, although here i would sooner stick with cream cheese/butter (or nothing on it) Have a great time in NYC!
