Hi,

Price is currently showing - $116 Canadian Per Night (Weekend Deal) but also mentions .... This hotel typically charges guests a resort fee of about CAD27 per room per night.

Amenities:

Business center

Internet access

Pool(s)

Resort

Restaurant(s)

Spa services

Any idea which hotel this is? I am debating on using Priceline as well to try bidding...

Hi,

Looking at Price.line at their PRICELINE EXPRESS Deals... 4 Star Hotel (Oct 3 - Oct 4) 2 Rooms...

1) Disney Downtown - Lake Buena Vista Area Hotel - $89

2) Disney Area - Lake Buena Vista East Condo - $94

3) Disney Area - Lake Buena Vista East Hotel - $109

4) Disney Maingate West Area Hotel - $98

Any ideas what these hotels are?

Is It worth bidding? and trying to beat the deals?

Welcome to BetterBidding!

Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread. Once you win a hotel, use the 'ADD REPLY and REPORT WIN' button on the lower right corner of the page to edit the topic title to reflect your win and to provide the details of your purchase. This helps keep the board better organized by reducing the number of unresolved threads that don't have any follow-up or conclusion.

Few issues to cover, so let's start from the top to find out which service is best for your needs this trip and we'll take it from there...

Occupancy Issues:

HOTWIRE ensures sleeping accommodations for everyone you include in your search...

PRICELINE EXPRESS stipulates rooms are for double occupancy but you can sometimes 'get around' this if you choose a hotel that shows the 'Bed Choice' option and one of the options listed is a room configuration that works for your needs of your group.

PRICELINE bidding only guarantees double occupancy, after that it is at the discretion of the hotel and they may not be able, or willing, to accommodate your needs for more then double occupancy in each room. While Orlando is typically family-friendly and hotels are designed with a high percentage of rooms that have two beds (or one bed and a pullout sofabed), so your odds of having your request honored is much better then a place like NYC (where most hotels have a high percentage of rooms with only one bed) it's still a risk you'll need to decide if you're comfortable taking

Service Options:

HOTWIRE and PRICELINE EXPRESS are similar in the sense that some clues are provided about the hotel which can 1) let you take a guess as to what it is that is being offered, 2) ensure certain amenities are available at the hotel, and 3) know if the hotel is one of the 'better' ones in the zone based any reviews that are shown for the property

PRICELINE bidding you have to be willing to accept any hotel in the zone at the star rating (or higher) that you choose, and there is no ability to take a guess as to which property it is that is being offered

Cost:

Bidding on PRICELINE is usually a little cheaper than PRICELINE EXPRESS and/or Hot.wire, with the latter two often being similarly priced and one can be cheaper/more expensive then the other on any given search

Based upon the above let us know your thoughts (or additional questions) as to how you'd like to proceed and we'll move forward.

Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
