tetley14 Posted September 18, 2015 Report Posted September 18, 2015 Looking for a stay in NYC November 27 - December 4.Midtown East or West, Times Square type areas. Are the prices higher than normal? What event is on that I have neglected? Is this the early start to peak season?Appreciate any help you may offer?
tetley14 Posted September 18, 2015 Author Report Posted September 18, 2015 obviously I have been living under a rock and Thanksgiving is the day before.. people making a long weekend of it?
thereuare Posted September 18, 2015 Report Posted September 18, 2015 This is actually in the middle of peak season for NYC, but this weekend is actually one time during hi-season where rates drop. If you search separately for 11/27-11/30 (Friday --> Monday) i think you'll find fairly reasonable pricing... but rates taking a sharp spike higher for 12/1-12/4. What is your expected budget per nite (before fees/taxes) for this stay? Is SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID an option? ChillEDog Posted September 23, 2015 Report Posted September 23, 2015 if you are flexible and can delay your trip a bit I think you'll find hotel prices drop in the latter half of December, up until Dec 27/28. For example Dec 14-27. Then they skyrocket for New Years.
