Glenn N Posted September 7, 2015 Report Posted September 7, 2015 Looking for good hotel in Brooklyn or maybe midtown Manhattan, 15 to 20 October.Currently (7 Sept) seeing two boutiques in Brooklyn on Hotwire:4-star: Free breakfast, free internet, pet friendly, business center, fitness center. $242.4-star: "New to Hotwire", Free breakfast, free internet, pet friendly, fitness center. $184. I wonder if one of them is Indigo? I heard that rooms there are maybe too small for 2 people for 5 nights.
thereuare Posted September 7, 2015 Report Posted September 7, 2015 I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you click thru a few extra links. If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper.com tool... use the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab and then click the GREEN BUTTON next to each of these listings, do you see more amenities (including any accessible amenities) then what you have listed above? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. thereuare Posted September 14, 2015 Report Posted September 14, 2015 Have you checked any of the HOTWIRE descriptions above with the New York Hotwire Hotel List? I'm very familiar with NYC, if you let us know what you're looking for in a hotel for this trip, as well as your maximum budget, we can help provide some of the best options for you for this trip... it will be much easier and quicker then the time that would be needed to research all of the properties above. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Glenn N Posted September 15, 2015 Author Report Posted September 15, 2015 Thanks for that additional link of the Hotwire hotels (as best you know them). We would like to keep under $260 per night, but under $220 is preferable. Want to be in midtown, do not want Hell's Kitchen. MSG, TSQ, MTE, MTC are all OK with us.For the TSQ 4 star, I'm thinking this could be Belvedere, Hilton, Millenium, Crowne Plaza - so difficult to sort this out when there are so many possible amenities.TSQ 4.5 star sounds good, too, am willing to pay that amount, just can't figure out what it might be.
Glenn N Posted September 15, 2015 Author Report Posted September 15, 2015 Never mind! Our friend finally advised us to stay south of 30th, so we're going to look at SOHO, East Village and Chelsea. Will open another request about that, if I can't make progress on my own. Thanks!
thereuare Posted September 15, 2015 Report Posted September 15, 2015 Will open another request about that, if I can't make progress on my own. Please keep all posts for this trip in this same thread and continue this topic with your results or any other help you need for this trip. Are you meeting friends in NYC or have something specific to do that you've been advised to stay south of 30th St (as this is not a typical comment for NYC) Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
