kikilalaheart Posted September 14, 2015 Report Posted September 14, 2015 Im new to using PRICELINE EXPRESS and don't see in the thread any reference to a 5 star. I did check trip advisor for the area and see three possibilities but I am curious if anyone has won a 5* express yet and if so what you got? The amenities are only showing as: Swimming Pool - Business Center - Fitness Center Thanks!
thereuare Posted September 14, 2015 Report Posted September 14, 2015 The Waldorf Astoria Orlando would be the best guess for this 5* PRICELINE EXPRESS offer. kikilalaheart Posted September 30, 2015 Author Report Posted September 30, 2015 2 adults 2 kids - started with 4.5* in the LBV area for a low start at $70, rejected then added 4* to the mix and went up to $80 which was accepted for the Sheraton Lake Buena Vista Resort. Kind of disappointed because of its location to downtown disney, but the price is good and Im hopeful its nicer than the pictures show :) As always I used Betterbidding's PRICELINE links to grab this great deal, thanks for all the help!
thereuare Posted September 30, 2015 Report Posted September 30, 2015 Congratulations on your success! While not your first choice of hotel, glad to see you're pleased with the outcome for the price paid and can make this work for your needs this trip. Thank you for sharing your win and using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your purchase. Enjoy your stay. kikilalaheart Posted October 12, 2015 Author Report Posted October 12, 2015 Follow up to our trip, I would like to note we had issues with Pricelines quote for the resort fee of $67.32. The actual fees were $19.95 + a $12 parking fee and tax, totally over $105 for our stay. I would also like to note this hotel was far from a 4 star, so be careful when bidding because you may end up with this 3.5 star at best.
AaronJB Posted October 12, 2015 Report Posted October 12, 2015 Sorry to hear that the result was a disappointment. When bidding, the potential resort fee listed is estimated and will only include any 'mandatory' resort fee. Any other fees (parking, internet, etc) are additional and charged at the hotel. Sorry again that the stay was underwhelming.
