Hi Everybody

Incredible Forum!!!

I need your help with something. I'm planning a trip to NY with my wife during June 20-25 and today I was told about all this.

I really want to spend little but upto now the best option I got, was the Da Vinci Hotel in UM/CPS for $142.

I've been in NY 10 years ago but I really don't remember anything and I don't know which is the best are to stay but I gess it is somewhere near Central Park.

After reading many forums, I realized I can get something really good for less money than the Da Vinci's.

Can anybody help me with the best areas and the strategy?

Thereuare for what I could read, your very near to be God, can you help me?

Obviously I would like to pay less than $142, may be 100-120 Can I get something good for that?

Thanks a lot for the Help and you are welcome to Argentina!!!

Welcome to BetterBidding!

I have written a description of the PRICELINE ZONES for NYC. For most users, bidding MTE, MTW, and UM/CPS is acceptable.

When you are ready to bid, you will likely also have to follow the same techniques used by those bidding PRICELINE FROM CANADA.

Let us know if all three zones above are acceptable and we will outline a strategy for you to follow. Would you like a strategy to be limited to a maximum bid of $120, or if you fail at that point would you want to go as high as your back-up reservation of $140?

Thanks a lot, I had the same problem as Canadians to Register but information was very useful.

Now, I think those 3 zones are good for me if you say so and I made an Excel grid with the hotel stars available on each.

Obviously I want to spend as less as I can but I don't care paying the same or a little more than what the poor Da Vinci Hotel costs.

Thanks for your help and I'll wait for your strategy.

One doubt about Priceline, I guess I cannot cancel reservations in any case, is it like that?

Correct, priceline (and hotwire) reservations are non-cancellable, non-refundable, and non-changable. Once your bid is accepted your credit card is charged immediately.

Based upon your limit this is how i would bid. In NYC at the 4* level you have two re-bid zones available, If you''re not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.

Select 4* MTW...

Bid $105, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $115, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.

Select 4* MTE...

Bid $105, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $115, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.

Select 4* UM/CPS...

Bid $105, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $115, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.

Select 4* MTW and MTE...

Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $125, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $130, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.

Select 4* MTW and UM/CPS...

Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $125, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $130, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.

Select 4* MTW and MTE and UM/CPS...

Bid $135, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $138, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $140.

Good Luck and let us know how it goes.

Any questions feel free to ask.

Thanks, I just have to confirm some details about the trip, I'll try and I'll let you know.

What about trying first the 5* option. I know it will be impossible to get something for that price but you never know. What do you say? I have nothing to lose, I guess...

Thanks a lot for your help
