Wanderingwolf Posted September 7, 2015 Report Posted September 7, 2015 Looking to try and snag an on-property hotel room in Orlando for a family trip to Universal Studios the first weekend in November. I'm new to this board but have used Price.line's NYOP several times and had some great success with it thus far. I've been able to get 3* hotels for under $50, and have gotten the EXACT hotel I've wanted (the Double Tree at the Entrance to Orlando) 2/3 times for approx. 40% off! Now using this tool I'd like to see if I can get an onsite hotel using the express deals. I see a 4* on PRICELINE EXPRESS deal for $235 that has the following criteria: free int, swimming pool, pets allowed, fitness center, restaurant, and business center. Any hints at what I'm looking at? Any way to use this info to try and get the same hotel on NYOP but at a cheaper rate?
AaronJB Posted September 7, 2015 Report Posted September 7, 2015 Welcome to Betterbidding. Sharing any prior wins (as separate threads) would be greatly appreciated. There is no way to avoid/target/increase the odds of /etc a particular property or properties when bidding. If you bid for a 4* in a particular zone (for example) you have to be willing to accept ANY hotel at that star rating in that zone. PRICELINE EXPRESS is a better option as you can take the information given and try to make an educated guess as to which hotel is showing. However, not all hotels have discounted inventory for each set of dates - usually 1-2 per star rating per zone per set of dates on PRICELINE EXPRESS. Please confirm the exact dates of travel so we can replicate your search and have a look at the PRICELINE EXPRESS offer you describe above. Thank you for sharing your win and please use the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches. Enjoy your stay.
