Priceline Hotel: 5* or 4.5* possible for $275 in Times Sq or Mid town?

We are traveling on Oct 5-9. First time to NYC and would like a good location. Any help would be great.

You can certainly try, but at current rates i think $275 will likely fall short for a 4.5* or better in Manhattan for these dates... you would more likely need to be in the $300-$325 range.

However, i will add that there is often a very big jump in price in NYC when going from 4 stars --> 4.5 stars, and you won't likely have any trouble getting a 4* hotel within your current budget.
