CMSuzuki
I am looking for help in a bidding strategy for Napa/Santa Rosa/Sonoma for 2/2-2/3. I am looking for 3-4 star hotel ratings <$85/night. Is this possible? Where should I start my bid? Are they're any hotels that I need to be worried about in this area at this price range? Thanks for your help and this forum. Link to comment
thereuare
When bidding 3* or 4* in this area you have one re-bid zone. If you''re not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding. If you are interested in paying a bit more for a higher rated hotel follow the strategy as presented. If you care more about price than 3* or 4* then skip the first round of 4* bidding. Rates seem low so this attempts a bit of lowballing on your first round of bidding, so don't get discouraged if the above doesn't work (and don't get a married to these low prices, it may ultimately take a bit more)Selelct 4* Santa Rose...Bid $51, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $54, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previosly.Selelct 3* Santa Rose...Bid $46, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $50.Any questions feel free to ask.Good Luck and let us know how it goes. CMSuzuki
Tried Santa Rosa 4* $51, Added Fairfield $54, Added Napa $60, Added Sonoma $65 all rejected. I will wait 3 days and try again from $67-80 before adding a 3*(and start at $46). Any other suggestions? Thanks. Link to comment
thereuare
The above was based upon your wanting a "3-4 star hotel" (as you posted) and wouldn't have started so low if you were really only interested in a 4* property. Is the 4* worth the extra money that it will likely cost you over the 3*? (in some areas it's money well spent, but here i'm not so sure)... something to think about.
