Welcome to Betterbidding. :)

I'm very familiar with Chicago - to try and focus the search a bit, are you looking for something in particular? Let me know and I can then make a few recommendations.

In terms of listings, you can also look at the site's Hotwire Hotel List for Chicago, which shows all of the hotels and all of the amenities that have been reported with each.

If you would like us to try and ID a particular listing:

Please your search using our Bidding.Helper.com tool... use the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab and then click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing, do you see more amenities then what you have listed above?

Thank you for using the board's HOT.WIRE or PRICE.LINE links to start your purchases and searches.

Hi Aaron,

For the Priceline list there's not more amenities :s

Looking for a hotel from Oct 3 to Oct 8 in Chicago

Magnificent Mile if possible!

Maximum around 300$ but 150-250$ would be nice for a 4*/5*.

Thank you for your help!

feeniscya,

Researching hotels can be a very time consuming process. AaronJB is very familiar with the area and if you let us know the parameters you have for this stay (desired budget, star rating, etc) and any needs you have (general 'tourist trip' or near 'xyz') we can suggest some of the best options available just by looking at the offers... this will be much quicker then researching all 11 hotels.

Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.

This is unfortunately an expensive period.

4* Mag Mile N-WT $180

Boutique, Restaurant, Fitness, Smoke Free, Free Internet, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Golf, Tennis, Blind Accessible, Deaf Accessible, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Wheelchair Accessible, Handicapped Parking, Roll-in Shower, Pet Friendly

-- Likely the Public. This is at the very tip-top of the zone, but that is the nice Gold Coast area, with a lot of restaurants and nightlife. There is a CTA stop a few blocks away. Given where this is, street noise is less likely. It is a significantly renovated classic property, so visually it does look a lot different than it used to (it used to be one of Chicago's most historic property), but is at its core an older hotel. Free wifi and cheaper room service, among other somewhat less expensive aspects of this boutique. I see this on PRICELINE EXPRESS, but for $192.

4.5* Mag Mile-RN $215

Restaurant, Pool, Indoor Pool, Fitness, Smoke Free, Free Internet, Hi-Speed Internet, Laundry, Tennis, Spa, Childrens Activities, Pet Friendly

-- This listing hasn't been ID'd/reported, but a guess would be the Loews Chicago. It may be something else, but the property is showing a 4.5/5 tripadvisor rating and if it was the newer Loews, would be a great result.

4.5* Downtown-MP-GP $245

Boutique, Restaurant, Pool, Indoor Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Tennis, Spa, Blind Accessible, Deaf Accessible, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Roll-in Shower

-- Possible match for Swissotel.

I see what appears to be the W Lakeshore for $245 and the Hyatt Mag Mile (on St Clair for $260), but I think you have more compelling options for less. Or, for a similar price:

4.5 Mag Mile-RN $255

Boutique, Restaurant, Fitness, Free Internet, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Spa, Blind Accessible, Deaf Accessible, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Handicapped Parking, Roll-in Shower, Pet Friendly

-- Likely the James. I'd rather the James than the Hyatt for $260.

While your max budget is $300, there are a couple of 5*'s just over $300 (around $310-325.) Would that be of interest?

Let me know if you have any city or hotel questions before booking.

The Public?

4 1/2* Magnificent mile area River North 208$

Free Internet, Pet friendly, Indoor pool(s), Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Self-service laundry, Internet access, Tennis nearby, Spa services, Children's activities

The Hyatt?

4* Magnificent mile area River North 212$

Thanks a lot!

I'm not seeing the first listing when searching. The second listing (4.5* Mag Mile-RN with Restaurant, Pool, Indoor Pool, Fitness, Smoke Free, Free Internet, Hi-Speed Internet, Laundry, Tennis, Spa, Childrens Activities, Pet Friendly) has not yet been ID'd/reported, but I'd guess the Loews may be a possibility. The third listing would be a possible match for the James.

There is no way to know if rates will come down closer to the stay, but - at least traditionally - the Fall in Chicago is fairly busy and there is the risk rates can go higher.

I also see a 4.5* in the Downtown-MP-GP area for $217 w/Boutique, Restaurant, Pool, Indoor Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Tennis, Spa, Blind Accessible, Deaf Accessible, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Roll-in Shower.

-- Possible match for the Swiss.

4.5* Loop $191 Boutique, Restaurant, Fitness, Smoke Free, Free Internet, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Spa, Blind Accessible, Deaf Accessible, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Handicapped Parking, Roll-in Shower, Pet Friendly

-- This amenity set has been seen with the Wyndham Grand Riverfront.

Please keep us updated with what you decide and let us know if you have additional questions. You may see somewhat different prices than I do on Hot.wire.
