actraveler Posted January 17, 2006 Report Posted January 17, 2006 Based upon my geographic needs, I was willing to stay in either the Newark Airport area or the Secaucus/Rutherford areas.First Bid...Secaucus 3* $55.00 RejectedSecond Bid...Added Newark Airport and lowered bid to $50.00Second Bid was accepted for the Doubletree (Formerly Wyndham) Newark Airport. The hotel itself is lovely, but this was a mistake on my part. For the Airport area, I wanted the 2.5* Country Inn becuse it usually goes for $45.00 and has free parking as well as being across from the Jersey Gardens mall. Also, they have free internet. The Doubletree is a solid 3* hotel, but I will have to pay for both parking and internet. So much for the bargain, yet still a substantial deal in the end compared to retail.Used Savings Barn link.
thereuare Posted January 18, 2006 Report Posted January 18, 2006 You may be able to get a bit cheaper parking at a nearby hotel or one of the adjacent, independently owned, lots... although somewhat less convenient and may not be worth it.Have a great stay and thank you for using the PRICELINE links at SavingsBarn.com to begin your bidding.
