4huskies Posted August 10, 2015 Report Posted August 10, 2015 Hello, I am very open on what day I can go to Montreal. We have free hotel in Ottawa for 1 night (that can be used anytime until the end of the year), and to this we would like to add 1 or 2 nights in Montreal. Preferably 4* + (Maybe 3.5*+).Hoping to keep price UNDER $100 CANADIAN per night. But $80 - $90 would be ideal if its possible. I'm not too sure about the area's in Montreal since I haven't been there, but something near downtown/old town? It can be any day of the week (doesn't have to be weekend), and really any month, although I would prefer before it gets TOO cold. So Aug/Sept/Oct. It can also be last minute type thing if that is cheaper (like to leave day after bidding) Is there a easy way to see what is currently cheapest day for a hotel, any time from now til the end of the year? Based on what is the cheapest time currently, I can try to bid around that time to hope to get best deal. Considering how bad the Canadian dollar is, is Priceline still going to be one of the cheapest options to get a hotel since they seem to charge only in USD$? Are my expectations reasonable considering how flexible I am with dates? or do you think I have to raise budget a bit?
thereuare Posted August 10, 2015 Report Posted August 10, 2015 Welcome to BetterBidding! Generally speaking Sundays are the slowest nite of the week for hotels... leisure travelers are on their way home and tourists have not yet arrived. Use our BiddingHelper.com for various Sunday nites and look at the HOTWIRE and PRICELINE EXPRESS tabs... do you see anything offered within your desired star rating, budget and zone? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
