I'm not currently seeing this property offered when searching HOTWIRE for your dates... are you still seeing the above on your own search? If so, are you searching HOTWIRE for more than one room or for more than the default 2adults/0children?

Also, on a current search in the EASY VIEW tab of BiddingHelper.com i'm seeing a 4* hotel in this zone for $85/nite (and also a 4.5/5.0 TA rating):

Blind Accessible

Deaf Accessible

Travel Accessible

... my guess is The Wit Doubletree.

Why not this one at nearly a third of the price?

I was looking two rooms for 5 people total, but it is gone now.  I did not see the one you mentioned, even if I switched to one room/two people.

There is a 3.5* in Magnificent Mile - River North for $187, 2 rooms for 5 people on Hotwire.  Amenities are: FULL AMENITIES: Free breakfast, Free Internet, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Business center, Internet access

I'm not seeing what i thought to be The Wit offered anymore either.

Best guess for the 3.5* River North hotel above would be the Hyatt Place Chicago Downtown River North.

I tried to purchase the room and it was no longer available.  The 3.5* price jumped to $306.  I ended up going to the Hyatt site to book.  Thanks for your help.  Please feel free to delete this thread if you wish.  I waited too long to book this room.  Hopefully I learned a lesson for the future.
