Airpart Posted August 7, 2015 Report Posted August 7, 2015 We are looking for a hotel in NY from 10/05/2015 till 10/11/2015 in New York around the Times Square / Madison Square Garden area. Yesterday (and it is still on today) i saw a express deal at Priceline for Times Square for $228 a night. Can someone tell we with hotel this is most likely going to be? The possibilities are (according to the hotel list): - The Manhattan Hotel - Paramount Hotel- The Time- Tryp by Wyndham Thanks in advance
Airpart Posted August 7, 2015 Author Report Posted August 7, 2015 Price.line is THE WORST WEBSITE WITH THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!!!!!! The PRICELINE EXPRESS deal i was hoping to get is still on the website, but they say that it is no longer available. Take it of the website then! It's one the website since yesterday but isn't available since 11.00 am this morning
thereuare Posted August 7, 2015 Report Posted August 7, 2015 Welcome to BetterBidding! Please start by reading your messages (which will also remove the red box at the top of the page and make the board easier to navigate) If you're still seeing this offer, what are the amenities that are associated with this hotel? At what point in the booking process are you told that it is no longer available? If this offer is no longer available, what is your maximum budget per nite for this trip? (before taxes/fees) Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Airpart Posted August 7, 2015 Author Report Posted August 7, 2015 This is the offer: < dead link removed > When we try to book it, this message appears: Please note: Pricing and inventory changes often and the deal you selected is no longer available. However, we still have the following deals below. The amenities are: Busniess Center & Free internet Our maximum budget is $190 per night (6 nights - 10/5/2015 till 10/11/2015)
thereuare Posted August 7, 2015 Report Posted August 7, 2015 You can't link directly to PRICELINE EXPRESS search result pages as they contain a session ID and won't work on any computer other then you're own (and/or will expire in a few hours) Confirm your dates on the landing page of this link, but does this 3* Times Square Priceline Express link give you hotel that you can purchase OR do you get an error message that the hotel is no longer available? If it gives you a description of the hotel are you able to get this far previously OR does the purchase only fail once you have entered all of your credit card information? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Airpart Posted August 7, 2015 Author Report Posted August 7, 2015 No, we get the message after clicking on "By my hotel now"Priceline says that the deal is no longer available but is still on there site. We now booked a other hotel just to have something but i cost 1600 dollars total. So if we can still get a hotel @ TS 3* for around 1200 dollars total we can cancel our reservation we have now
thereuare Posted August 7, 2015 Report Posted August 7, 2015 Would SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID be an option (with the chance that you may have to change hotels mid-trip)? I'm thinking of trying to book this PRICELINE EXPRESS deal for: 10/5-10/11 (already failed but try again anyway), and if unsuccessful then try: 10/5-10/10 10/6-10/11 10/5-10/9 10/7-10/11 10/5-10/8 10/8-10/11 If you're successful for any of the above, you can then try to book the remaining nites (if offered on PRICELINE EXPRESS) or make other plans at a different hotel for the remaining nites. (but using the dates above, if successful, you get at least 3 out of the 6 nites taken care of) Where and how much is your back-up reservation? (in the future please use our sister site RefundableRates.com for your back-up reservations) Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
