Hi,

We are planning to visit las vegas for our anniversary celebration in the weekend on 08/15 - 08/17.

We are looking for a 5* from the following: Cosmopolitan, Aria, Palazzo, Venetian, Vdara.

Can you suggest the best bidding strategy ?

I am looking at a budget range of $100 - $150 a night.

Regards,

Welcome to Betterbidding and Happy Anniversary. :)

There is no way to bid for a particular property - if you bid you have to be willing to accept ANY hotel at the star rating picked in the zones picked.

Are the above hotels the only hotels of interest?

Unfortunately, bidding then would not be an option.

Hot.wire and PRICELINE EXPRESS would be options, but unfortunately these dates look expensive - the 5*'s that I'm seeing on Hot.wire are $200+. I do see what appears to be the Venetian on Hot.wire, but for $226 (you may see a slightly different price.)

They are a little on the high side for summer, but not out of the ordinary for a stay that includes weekend dates and when there are any large events taking place. During these dates there is a conference of 10K attendees, plus two other conference that start on 8/17 (may guests will arrive the nite before) for 6.5K and 7.5K. Individually Las Vegas could handle these with hardly a tick up in rates, but collectively this is about 25K attendees which Las Vegas can handle, but which also would have an effect on an increase in rates... no to mention any other events that may also be taking place over these dates (boxing, UFC, etc)

Are you considering different travel dates, increasing your budget, lowering your star rating, or being open to other hotels?

Thanks for your response !

Dates are fixed for us.

Regarding the budget, I can go up to $200 if there is something we can find in that range in a 5* (except Trump as we have stayed there on almost all over visits :))

I am looking for a 5* or an exclusive vegas experience since we are celebrating a special occasion and want it to be memorable.

Do you have any other hotel suggestions which have good amenities (pool, spa or hosting good parties. No casino is fine as we can gamble outside:)) as we will be spending most of our time relaxing at the hotel ?

Hi,

I am trying to book a hotel from 08/15 - 08/17 using priceline express deals (picked the link from a thread on this board).

I see a 5* in las vegas strip south area for $173/night.

Can someone help ID the hotel ?

I don't see any details on this page except:

No matter the odds, you will find exceptional gaming and restaurants along the south end of the Strip.

This zone covers the vicinity on or just a stone's throw from the Strip south of Flamingo Road.

It is home to the most recognizable of Las Vegas' casinos offering breath-taking views, some of the best restaurants in Vegas, great gaming, and a variety of entertaining shows.

It is also conveniently close to the Bali Hai Golf Club and McCarran International Airport.
Swimming Pool

Restaurant

Casino

Business Center

If I see that area, I see only few 5* - Aria, Cosmo, Vdara, Bellagio (Am I missing anything ??) and since the posting has a casino mentioned, I can remove Vdara from the list.

Could it be any of the other 3 ?

You can't post links to PRICELINE EXPRESS results as they contain a session parameter which won't allow them to work on any computer. (I have edit your post).

I do see the hotel your asking about when replicating your search but I get $196 for it.

Best guess would be Cosmopolitan.

North zone got a 5*/$224 W/Indoor or Outdoor Pool, Restaurant, Free Parking, Business Center, Casino, Fitness Center and I believe that is the Venetian.

Are Cosmopolitan or Venetian something you could go with?
