nlrjkr
Stayed here thru Hotwire for $164/night ($573.95 total). We were assigned an ocean view room after showing our Starwood Preferred card. We liked this hotel very well, especially the beach area. The snorkeling area along the Black Rock was great, although tended to become very crowded in late morning and throughout the rest of the day. The best snorkeling was earlier in the morning anyway with many different types of fish, eels and turtles. Our room faced the Black Rock and we had excellent views of the beach. Although the room wasn't dirty, it also wasn't perfectly clean - mirrors were not cleaned while we were there, however, sheets were clean and even with all the sand we dragged in, floors were kept clear. Room service was quick and efficient but the price of a cheese tray and bottle of wine was a whopping $100 with tip. The location of the hotel was great - at the end of Kaanapali but a short walk to Whaler's Village and good shopping, food and drinks. Paid an additional $100 for late (4 p.m.) checkout which is quite high. The additional resort fee which was to include internet access and parking was not charged and we were able to make use of the internet. All in all a good stay and would probably stay here again.
