Priceline Hotel: 4.5* Montreal (Montreal Downtown - Financial District) Sofitel Montreal Golden Mile

This is my first time bidding on Price.line. Initially started my bid around CAD $150 and continued bidding up until my bid was finally accepted at CAD $198. 

 

I'm not too sure if that's a good price or not. If I overbid, is there a better strategy to bid the lowest price possible?

Looks like a nice deal. It seems like you bid well, but as you didn't mention your previously rejected bid, it's difficult to stay if you overbid or not, as you could have gone from $175CAD to $198CAD which would potentially be an overbid... if you want from $195CAD to $198CAD then any overbid would be extremely small ($1-$2 at most). In the future ask the board for help and we will suggest a strategy for you to follow.

Thanks. My previous rejected bid was CAD $194, so I guess I didn't overbid by a lot, but then I saw that there are many price points that hotels usually put on PL, so I was concerned that I overbid by a lot.

If you're previous $194CAD bid was at the 4.5* level and included the Downtown - Financial District zone then it was not an overbid at all (other than $2-$3)

In the future feel free to ask for a bidding strategy and we will make sure that you don't risk any potential overbids. ;)
