afuller811 Posted July 22, 2015 Report Posted July 22, 2015 In the past I typically use Priceline biding and got some really good deals but I am now looking at Hotwire to! However I am really looking at avoiding parking and resort fees. One is fine but once you add in both it's not really a deal anymore! I am basically looking in the Lake Buena Vista area and SeaWorld South. My stay dates are October 21-25th for two adults. I want to stay between a 3.5-4 Star. I don't mind a 3 star hotel if it was the Hyatt Place by Orlando Convention center however. :) I may end doing the whole bidding strategy if I can work up the courage. If I do I will keep you all posted on what I get. 3.5 Star SeaWorld - I-drive South area Hotel ($71) (Hot.wire) Pet friendly Smoke-free rooms Fitness center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business center Self-service laundry Internet access Spa services Accessible for hearing impaired Accessible path of travel Wheelchair accessible Accessible bathroom Accessible parking This looks like the Double Tree by Hilton Orlando at SeaWorld. I am also looking at one on PRICELINE EXPRESS Disney Area - Lake Buena Vista East ($77) Free Parking Restaurant Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center AND Price Line Express Intl. Drive South - Sea World) ($72) Pets Allowed Business Center Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center Thanks all!

afuller811 Posted July 23, 2015 Author Report Posted July 23, 2015 Each of the PRICELINE EXPRESS deals are 3.5 stars. Sorry I forgot to add that. Depending on if I use Hotwire/Priceline I will move that thread over there. Thanks for letting me know!

afuller811 Posted August 11, 2015 Author Report Posted August 11, 2015 Couldn't book the hotel till after visiting family over the weekend to confirm the trip details. Just wanted to see what you thought of this hotel. The stay dates have changed to October 20th- 25th. FULL AMENITIES: (Hotwire) ($54) 3 StarFree parking Free breakfast Free InternetPet friendlySmoke-free rooms,Fitness centerPool(s)Business centerSelf-service laundryInternet accessAccessible for hearing impaired,Accessible path of travel In-room accessibilityAccessible bathroom Accessible parkingRoll-in shower It looks like this could be the Extended Stay America Orlando - Convention Center. Which you could currently book on Hotwire.com for $62.99 and this is not a hotel I would want to stay at!
AaronJB Posted August 11, 2015 Report Posted August 11, 2015 Please confirm the zone - is this also in the Seaworld- iDrive South area? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
afuller811 Posted August 12, 2015 Author Report Posted August 12, 2015 Yes it is. Sorry for forgetting that.
thereuare Posted August 12, 2015 Report Posted August 12, 2015 I would agree that one of the Extended Stay properties (there are a few in this area) would be a good possibility for this one. Assuming you're still willing to pay ~$70/nite as per the original hotels you inquired about above, there are quite a few other options, such as the Hilton Grand Vacations Club at Seaworld for $69/nite (which gets very good reviews)... would this be of any interest? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
afuller811 Posted August 13, 2015 Author Report Posted August 13, 2015 Decided to stay closer to Disney as we have a friends wedding at the Dolphin resort. This hotel also had free breakfast, parking and no resort fee's which saves a ton. I really liked the Hilton Grand Vacation Club at Seaworld mentioned, but did not want to pay any of the fee's associated with most 3.5 star resorts. Happy with the result, thanks everybody for helping. I also used your Hotwire link!
