Priceline Hotel: Advice on Loop Millennium park area 4* or better September 5th & 6th?

Any advice on a Loop, Millennium park area 4* or better September 5th & 6th? I'm interested in getting 2 rooms, does that have a positive or negative impact on the price that hotels will accept? Also, is it better to bid early (now) or closer to the date of my stay?

What would be your desired budget per night for this stay? I think you're likely looking at around $115-130 for a 4* in this zone for these dates, although I'd start lower and work up to that level. Two rooms should not make a difference.

I tried 4.5* up to $165 without luck.  I think it's an expensive weekend.
