gamerbryan56
August 2 - August 4 Clarksville - Jeffersonville - New Albany Area hotel PRICELINE EXPRESS deal 55/night amentities: free parking, business center, restaurant, shuttle, pool, fitness center Clarksville - Jeffersonville - New Albany Area hotel - NYOP amentities: pool, restaurant, parking, fitness I'm pretty sure both of these will be the Clarion Hotel Conference Center Louisville North. Any insight would be helpfully in this. I think the NYOP is the clarion too because it's only other 3 star listed in that area on priceline besides America's best that I don't want to stay at, but America's best doesn't have a restaurant. Am I right in thinking this would be clarion then? THanks. Link to comment
thereuare
I agree with your guess for the PRICELINE EXPRESS property. However, on the bidding side of PRICELINE the amenities shown are amenities that are offered at every hotel at this star ratig in the zone... not a specific hotel that you would be bidding on. If the 3* is showing 'Restaurant' as a guaranteed amenities, and America's Best Inn and Suites Clarksville does not offer a restaurant, then i think this property does not participate on the NYOP bidding side of PRICELINE. (NOTE: not all hotels on the 'retail' side participate in the bidding side of PRICELINE, and vice-versa) Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. gamerbryan56
However, on the bidding side of PRICELINE the amenities shown are amenities that are offered at every hotel at this star ratig in the zone... Okay thanks. For the america's best the listed amenities in the list view are: free internet, free parking, pet friendly, swimming, and non smoking. Since it doesn't have a restaurant and that's a guaranteed amenity on the NYOP I'm assuming that they don't participate in NYOP. Is there anyway the amenities differ from list view to when they are on NYOP? Link to comment
thereuare
You can't use PRICELINE description of the hotel (on the retail side, i assume that is where you got the listed amenities) as they may not include all of the amenities that are offered by the hotel... you would want to doublecheck at the hotel's own website to see what amenities are offered. If you need help with a bidding strategy let us know your maximum bid (for a 3* hotel, correct?) and we will suggest a strategy for you to follow. gamerbryan56
Hmm okay the america's best has a bar I don't know if that would constitute a restaurant on NYOP. Seems kind of risky to try NYOP unless I can be certain it's not the America's best. Link to comment
thereuare
For safety why not the PRICELINE EXPRESS deal at $55/nite? Even if successful bidding on PRICELINE, at this low of a price point, i don't think you're looking at much savings by bidding? (even if you save 10% it's $5/nite... better to be safe to be able to target the hotel you want and/or avoid the one you don't want) Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
