Priceline Hotel: Room type when bidding?

Suppose my bid is successful and I get the Hyatt Regency in Waikiki.  Do they end up giving me the worst room in the hotel?  And is there a way to "upgrade" to a better room after my bid is successful?

Thanks

They do not give you the worst room in the hotel. They will likely give you a 'standard' room, which should be expected given the discounted rate. You can ask about upgrades at check-in, but the hotel can say no or charge more.

If there is something legitimately wrong with the room, then talk to check-in or call PRICELINE.
