Priceline Hotel: Boston - Copley / Back Bay August 18 - August 24

Hi, I'm looking for help on how I should bid in in this area.  I would like to stay in 3.5* and above and keep it below $200 US/night.

Do you think this is possible?

 

1 room , 2 adults & 1 child.

Is the possibility of one bed acceptable? Bidding only guarantees 1 bed/double occupancy.

If not, then HOTWIRE would still be an option as they allow you to search for up to quad occupancy... or PRICELINE EXPRESS if there is an offer which shows the 'Bed Choice' option and one of the choices listed will accommodate your family's needs.

I've decided to split my stay in Boston,  ideally I would like to stay August 20 - August 24 in Copley Square.

Hotwire has a deal for a 4.5* for $205.nt, but it is only between August 21 - August 24.  When I try to add the extra day the deal changes to $249 nt.

What would be an ideal priceline strategy for August 20 - August 24 to try to get the $205 rate in this area?

If bidding on PRICELINE are you looking to bid the 4* or 4.5* level? Also, i'm not sure i'm following your logic in using the $205/nite rate (which is only available when searching for 8/21-8/24) when you will be bidding on 8/20-8/24.

Also, if you are going the HOTWIRE route, using the search methods above, does the 4.5* hotel that appears for each set of your dates have the same amenity set?
