NYCinaugust Posted July 13, 2015 Report Posted July 13, 2015 August 7th - 10th The rate is $153, which comes to $593 for the 3 nights after tax & Fees. Is this an awesome rate? I'm not restricted to 5* hotels, just looking for good a well reviewed room in the city. Two beds in the room is important, as we're two friends travelling, but I'm not sure if we can place this as a requirement when booking a hotwire "hot rate deal". If you can think of a better "bang for the buck" stay, don't be shy, please advise. Thanks!
AaronJB Posted July 13, 2015 Report Posted July 13, 2015 Welcome to Betterbidding. With Hot.wire, if you are searching for 2, you are only guaranteed 1 bed - that goes especially true for NYC, where rooms are small and two beds often go for a premium. You can call the hotel after booking, but they may say no. I think the question in terms of hotels becomes what are you doing in the city? If you are going to be in Midtown for most of the time, then the hotel price is very nice but you'll be putting yourself in an inconvenient location. I'm seeing a 4.5* in MTE for $143 w/Restaurant, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Laundry, Deaf Accessible, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Wheelchair Accessible, Pet Friendly.-- Would be a likely match for the Omni Berkshire. While not a 5*, would be a far more central location for less. NYCinaugust Posted July 13, 2015 Author Report Posted July 13, 2015 Thanks for the info, very much appreciated :) Do you have a clue what hotel the 5* in the Financial District - Wall Street area would be? If it's the Conrad I think I'll be satisfied, if it's likely another I'm more reluctant to book. I know you can't know with certainty, but any clarity would be appreciated. Thanks!
AaronJB Posted July 13, 2015 Report Posted July 13, 2015 The Conrad has been seen with this amenity set previously, so that would be my guess. Thank you for keeping us updated on what you decide.
