joli1 Posted January 13, 2006 Report Posted January 13, 2006 I will be visiting Quebec City in the month of May and have never used Priceline or Hotwire to obtain hotel accomodations. Any suggestions on how I can approach the bidding process? :)

joli1 Posted January 13, 2006 Author Report Posted January 13, 2006 My mate and plan to stay in Quebec City from May 19 to 22nd. I want a place close to the action and rather not spend more than $100 a night. :)
thereuare Posted January 13, 2006 Report Posted January 13, 2006 You can't choose your specific hotel and therefore can't choose the specific location of it either. To use Priceline you'll need to be willing to accept any hotel at the minimum star rating you select in the zone that you choose.Take a look at the Priceline map of Quebec... is that area 'close enough to the action' that you'd be satisfied anywhere in that zone? If so let us know and we'll advise as to how to proceed, if not we'll advise further. joli1 Posted January 13, 2006 Author Report Posted January 13, 2006 I've checked the map and yes, that would be the general area I am looking for. :)
thereuare Posted January 13, 2006 Report Posted January 13, 2006 At the 3* level you have two re-bid zones. If you''re not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding. This is how i would bid at this point in time...Select 3* Quebec...Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $70, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 3* Quebec and re-bid zone2...Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $80.If you bid as described above none of the bids will rejected as duplicates.Any questions feel free to ask.Good Luck and let us know how it goes.
