gatorloo
I found this curiousity via BiddingHelper.com doing a search for two adults/two children. There are no listed amenities. There are no reviews. Hot.wire claims it's a "Hot Rate All Suite Hotel" which normally runs $189.00 per night. This appears to be a newer hotel - maybe the SpringHill Suites Anaheim Resort/Convention Center? Link to comment
thereuare
The Springhill Suites would certainly be a possibility, but with no other details offered by this property it is impossible to say with any degree of certainty, and there could be other options as well (also, note that the 'retail' rate listed by HOTWIRE is an average rate of hotels of this star rating in the zone for your dates, not necessarily the rate of the underlying hotel offered, so you can't use this information in trying to figure out the hotel) Since this an extended stay you could see if this same property is offered for the first (or last) nite of your stay and then again for the balance. If so, you could purchase the solo nite in order to 'look behind the curtain'. If you're happy with the results purchase the remaining nites, if not, make alternate plans for the balance of your stay. gatorloo
I haven't booked this hotel w/o listed amenities yet (which is now showing at $136.00). May book this instead: 4* Orange County (Anaheim - Disney South - Convention Center) 8/2/15-8/6/15 $105.00/nightHotwire has 95% recommended and 4.0/5.0 Trip Advisor FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Pet friendly, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby, Tennis nearby, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Wheelchair accessible, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower Is this the Marriott Anaheim Suites, the Hyatt Regency Orange County, or something else? thereuare
The Hyatt Regency Orange County would be my best guess for this one. gatorloo
I didn't book this due to the uncertainty of a hotel without a feature set. Link to comment
gatorloo
BiddingHelper lists amenities as: Free Internet, Resort, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower The "resort" amenity leads me to believe this is the Doubletree Suites by Hilton Hotel Anaheim Resort. I do not want the other Doubletree (too far). Hotwire claims this is a HOT RATE RESORT w/a 4.5 TripAdvisor rating and 100% recommended. Link to comment
AaronJB
Please keep all posts for this stay within this thread - thanks. A guess would be the Wyndham Anaheim Garden Grove with a slightly different amenity set. Please keep us updated with what you decide and let us know if you have additional questions. gatorloo
Closing thread. I booked a hotel directly using a corporate rate (outside of Hotwire and Priceline). As the trip got closer, the Hotwire and Priceline rates increased significantly for Disneyland-area hotels. Stayed at the Wyndham Garden Grove at about $20 cheaper per night than what Hotwire showed.
