thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! I'd wait for AaronJB to comment, but to get you started, my guess for this one would be the Club Quarters Chicago - Central Loop. If you let us know your maximum budget for this stay (per nite before taxes/fees) i'm sure AaronJB will advise as to which are your best options. royroy1
Thanks! I'd say my maximum budget would be $175 per night, ideally below $150. Also, the information I posted above was for Hot.wire, not Price.line. I accidentally submitted to the wrong forum :(. I'd be happy using either service, however. Link to comment
AaronJB
I'd agree with the CQ Loop. Not a great location, small rooms and expensive for what you get - not something I'd recommend. I see a 4* for $128 in the Mag Mile N-WT area w/Boutique, Restaurant, Fitness, Smoke Free, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Blind Accessible, Deaf Accessible, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Handicapped Parking, Roll-in Shower-- This is a possible match for the Allerton. The Allerton would not be high on my list of recommendations, either - BUT while the Allerton offers small rooms and is an older property, it's at least in a terrific location and is nearly $40 less than the potential CQ. Not much of a discount off regular rate, but the cheapest Hot.wire 4* option downtown. 4* Mag Mile N-WT $168 w/Boutique, Restaurant, Fitness, Smoke Free, Free Internet, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Golf, Tennis, Spa, Blind Accessible, Deaf Accessible, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Handicapped Parking, Roll-in Shower, Pet Friendly-- Likely the MileNorth, which is a very nice hotel a block or two from where the Allerton is.There's also a 4* PRICELINE EXPRESS for $143 w/fitness, restaurant, business, free internet. That listing could be a number of different possibilities, as the Felix, Hotel chicago, Sheraton, Raffaello and W Lakeshore have been seen with this amenity set previously. The listing is showing a guest score of 8+, so that would take the Felix out of the possibilities. Would any of the above be of interest or are you seeing a different listing of interest? Unfortunately, rates are definitely on the high side for these dates. royroy1
Thanks! The $144 seems to be the most attractive offer to me so far. I also just noticed that I can book Club Quarters (Wacker at Michigan) for $140, via a corporate discount. Would that be a better idea rather than rolling the dice via priceline? Link to comment
AaronJB
I'd rather the $143 4* PRICELINE EXPRESS or I think the potential MileNorth is a nice upgrade for around $20 more. If you don't care which 4* you get, you may be able to get a 4* in the River North-NMA area for $100-115.
