thereuare Posted July 6, 2015 Report Posted July 6, 2015 If this is in the Mag Mile-River North zone, my best guess for this one would be a new amenity set for the Hotel Felix. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
AaronJB Posted July 6, 2015 Report Posted July 6, 2015 The Felix is in a great location, but offers small rooms and gets mixed reviews. I'll note that there's a major convention that starts on 11/9, so people will likely be coming in on 11/8 and that is why rates are unfortunately somewhat higher than the norm for this period. I do see what appears to be the Hotel Lincoln for cheaper, but that would mean staying in Lincoln Park. Lincoln Park is very nice (the Zoo's right there, Old Town nearby, lots of shopping/restaurants), but it's definitely not centrally located in the city as a whole and would be a trek (although a very nice trek) to get to Michigan Ave. Higher priced, I see what appears to be the W Lakeshore for $164 and the Monaco for $180. I see what appears to be the Allegro for $135, but that has the opposite problem of the Felix - that's a very nice Kimpton boutique that gets mostly good/very good reviews, but isn't in an optimal location in the West Loop. Let me know if any of the above options are of interest and I would be happy to point them out (you may see slightly/somewhat different prices than I do.) amalie Posted July 6, 2015 Author Report Posted July 6, 2015 Yes, we are looking at the Mag Mile - RN.. Thanks
AaronJB Posted July 6, 2015 Report Posted July 6, 2015 I'd agree with the Felix guess. I noted my thoughts on that hotel as well as alternatives above.
