If you dont' have a lot of luggage (or live out of a suitcase during this stay) you should change rooms when you check-out/check-in so that your new room will have been cleaned by housekeeping!

Unless of course you feel this is them not honoring your privacy :)

I did forget to mention the $25 was my first bid.

I'll have to see how they handle it at check in. I like the idea of checking out and back in. I tend to live out of my luggage anyway. That's what us guys usually do anyway, right? :)

If you do want a new room for the second part of your stay, don't mention anything to them when check-in the first time... just check-in using your confirmation for the first part of your stay.

When it's time to check-out, do so and even throw your luggage in the car (if you'll have one), drive/walk around the block once (or get some coffee or lunch), and then show up as a new customer. If they give you the old room, i'd return to the desk and tell them, "Somebody is in that room or it hasn't been cleaned since the last person left"
