hartskys
There are 6 of us traveling to the LA area on vacation from 4/7-4/14. We are planning on site seeing and will be going 1 day to Disney, visiting Hollywood, Studios-maybe see some shows if I can figure out where to go and how to get tickets (?), etc around the area. This is our first time to California and will be traveling with 2 seniors, 2 adults and 2 teenage boys. Where is the best area to stay and any help would be greatly appreciated on how to bid on priceline/hotwire for this area (would love to get something that offered breakfast/beach. We are flying into San Francisco and bid $40 and received a 3* Doubletree - Airport. After this we will be driving to LA staying int he area then last night staying by the LA airport to fly out on the 15th.This site is wonderful! Thanks so much! Link to comment
Jasmine
I recently won the 2.5* Residence Inn in Manhattan beach for $39 a night (see a few posts down). I won't be staying there until Saturday so I can't comment on what it's like first hand but based on the reviews I've read, it sounds like a great value. It is an all-suite property with complimentary hot breakfast and free parking on-site. It is close to the beach and sort of central to everything you want to do. It's also close to the airport.http://marriott.com/property/abouthotel/default/laxmhHow many rooms are you planning on getting? I think the standard room you'll get through PL has a queen bed plus a sofa-bed. Link to comment
hartskys
Thanks for the information. If you have time would you let me know how it was when after you return. That sounds like exactly what we're looking for. How did you bid? Do you think there is a good chance if I would bid this I would get this hotel? I'm new at this so any help would be "greatly" appreciated. We would be purchasing 2 rooms. Thanks again and enjoy your stay. Link to comment
