thehabs25 Posted June 29, 2015 Report Posted June 29, 2015 Need a hotel in Arlington area for the night of Sept 13th. I noticed there are some deals with priceline express as well. Is that something you could help identify as well? If not I might just do the priceline strategy. I'm looking for minimum of 3.5 star. No more than $150 a night hopefully. Thanks
thereuare Posted June 29, 2015 Report Posted June 29, 2015 Is there a specific PRICELINE EXPRESS hotel (or two) that you're considering? If so, please list the full details including: Star Rating Zone Room rate per nite (in US Dollars) Dates of your stay Amenities associated with the offer Also, when reporting your win(s) please use the 'ADD REPLY and REPORT WIN' button on the lower right corner of the page as that will automatically move the thread to the correct section of the board (if necessary) as well as automatically include your win in the Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins and Priceline Maps. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Thanks. thereuare Posted June 29, 2015 Report Posted June 29, 2015 Best guess for the 3* would be the Hyatt Place Dallas/Arlington... for the 2.5* the Holiday Inn Express and Suites-Six Flags Area would be my best guess. thehabs25 Posted June 29, 2015 Author Report Posted June 29, 2015 Thanks for the tips. Those seem to be pretty decent. I'm thinking I should probably try the bidding process first however. Any strategy for what I might want to do? I'd like to try 3 star and above and my budget is $150 max.
thereuare Posted June 30, 2015 Report Posted June 30, 2015 When bidding 3* in the Dallas region you have SIX re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding. While i don't think $150 is likely going to be enough based upon current prices, you can try as follows: Select 3* Arlington-Grand Prairie... Bid $100, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $125, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $130, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $140, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $145, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $150 Any questions feel free to ask. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Good luck and let us know how it goes. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
