tsmeets
Hi, I am looking for a room on 7/24 & 7/25 for Margarita Fest on Northerly Island. I would appreciate any advice on where to stay. Hotwire shows a 3* in the (McCormick Place - South Loop - Soldier Field area hotel) area for $143 per night. The following amenities are listed:Boutique Hotel, Free Internet, Smoke-free, Business Center, Free parking, spa services, Fitness Center, Restaurant thank you. Link to comment
AaronJB
Please provide a follow-up for your prior Chicago Hotwire thread (post what you decided for that stay within that thread, then reply to this thread and we would be happy to take a look and try to ID the above listing.) Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Link to comment
AaronJB
I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you click thru a few extra links. If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper.com.com tool... use the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab and then click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing, do you see more amenities then what you have listed above? If you see: Boutique, Restaurant, Fitness, Smoke Free, Free Internet, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Spa, Free Parking, Blind Accessible, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Handicapped Parking, Roll-in Shower -- My guess would be the South Loop Hotel (which, despite the name, is not in the Loop - it's a ways South.) Despite being in the same zone as Northerly Island, it's not convenient to it. My other concern would be that if the Festival is one day and if you're going to be browsing around the city for the other day, this is not real convenient for downtown, either. Optimally, you would be better in the Loop/South Loop than considerably South of it. What would be your desired budget per night for this stay? tsmeets
Thank you for the advice. My decision was made for me in this case... due to a miscommunication on who was booking the rooms, the couple that we are traveling with booked the Hyatt Regency for us - $160 on Priceline. Seems like a decent deal. Link to comment
