Priceline Hotel: Need a bidding strategy please!

Hello! New to Better Bidding and am in need of a bit of help on my bidding strategy... I will remember to use the links on this site :)

 

So here is what I know:

 

-Need a hotel in the Louisville area for one night: Monday 6/29 (gotta be able to get a sweet deal for just one Monday, right?!)

-I am out for the 3.5* in the Jeffersonville, IN area. I have done my research and am 99% sure this is the Sheraton Riverside

-The Sheraton Riverside is currently $127/night for the date

-I am willing to go as high as $75 (but like everyone else on this forum, I am out for the wicked sweet deal!)

-A little confused on the rebid process and how to make sure I can get as many bids in as possible. Any extra info on how that works will be much appreciated!

I assume you're bidding the 'Clarksville - Jeffersonville - New Albany' zone and willing to accept a hotel anywhere within the boundaries of that zone?

When bidding 3.5* in the Louisville region you have SIX re-bid zones, are you able to determine which they are? If not try the following:

1) Use the PRICELINE search box on the upper right of this page, enter your city and dates, and click "GO".

2) List each zone that is offered in this region.

3) Next to each zone list the highest star rating offered in the zone. The way to determine the highest star rating offered in the zone is by selecting the first zone i the list, then scrolling down to see the highest star rating selectable (ie- not greyed out). NEXT UNcheck the selected zone, place a checkmark in the next zone, and repeat the process for each zone in the region. Each time you take note of the highest star rating in the zone, make sure that only ONE zone is selected above.

4) post your findings and we'll take it from there
