Hotwire Hotel: 3.5* Chicago (Oak Lawn - Airport Midway MDW) Hilton Oak Lawn

Hi,

 

This is my first time here and I would like to book a room (1 room/3 adults) close to university of chicago. I drive my own car.

 

Hotels in hyde park area are expensive so I try to find a hotel close to campus.

 

I find two possibilities here.

 

2 star Midway Airport MDW - Oak Lawn - Alsip area hotel  $63

   Fitness center   Free Internet   Free breakfast   Free parking   Pet friendly   Self-service laundry

 

3.5 star Midway Airport MDW - Oak Lawn - Alsip area hotel  $82

Amenities

   Airport shuttle   Business center   Fitness center
   Free Internet   Free parking   Indoor pool(s)
   Pool(s)   Restaurant(s)   Self-service laundry

 

Could you please help identify what hotels could be? 

 

It seems there are lots of good deals in the weekend which makes Monday stay more expensive.

 

And also any other hotel suggestions in other areas?

The 2* has not yet been ID'd/reported to the board, but the 45% approval rating from Hot.wire customers is concerning.

 

The 3.5* would be a possible match for the Hilton Oak Lawn.

 

I'm very familiar with the area - I do see what appears to be the Hyatt McCormick Place for $123 and the South Loop Hotel for $125 (you may see slightly different prices.) Those would put you closer, but for $40 or so over the 3.5* MDW. I also see what is likely the Blackstone Renaissance for $111. However, with the Hyatt and Blackstone you're also looking at costly parking on top of the hotel cost.

I know it's not a hot deal but it's the best i can find close to UC.

I believe there may have been more amenities than you listed in your post, which would not have been seen unless you clicked the 'See all' link during the check-out process.
