Actually would like to hear your recommendation...

To get started, do you have reason to stay in this specific zone OR are you looking to use this as a less expensive option to staying in Manhattan... as this is typically not the most convenient location for commuting to/from Manhattan and there may be other options if that is your intention.

Thanks for fast reply!

Actually first reason is to find a less expensive room don't want to pay 200usd per night, we´ve stayed in Secaucus area before, and enjoyed that off-Manhathan concept. This time we will be arriving-leaving from JFK so does not make sense staying in NJ.

It will be a total of 3 days, but we will be going to Manhathan just 1 maybe 2 days.

We will rent a 6p van, so the off-Manhathan is also better for that.

Thought Flushing because my parents prefer asian food than western.. :D  :D , but of course could stay in another place, I also liked Long Island City, but did not find any bargain there.

Well, after sharing my thoughts the last is that I am also afraid of staying in those hotels beside LGA, such as La Guardia Plaza, etc.. bit older and location wise not convenient as you mentioned.

For the 3.5* property my guess is that the LaGuardia Plaza Hotel has been upgraded to the 3.5* level since it was last reported to the board... for the 3* my guess would be the Hampton Inn New York Laguardia Airport.

Hi just to give feedback on this topic I ended up booking an "open" hotel throgh booking.com which has free parking in Flushing.

Same dates on Hotel de Point got 104usd/n . Was happy with that.
