Priceline Hotel: Need help bidding in NYC area 8/5 - 8/9

How much should I expect to pay a night when bidding on priceline for a 4* preferably in Time Square, Midtown West, Midtown East in that order of preference?

Looking to stay 8/5 through 8/9.

I assume that price is the more important factor than zone and you're not willing to pay more to stay in the TS square zone vs. MTW, and not willing to pay more to stay in MTW vs. MTE (ie- the least expensive hotel in any of these three zones (and/or CPS as per your next post) is the goal for this stay?)

 

 

Central Park South would probably be ok too.

Note that the CPS has the Hudson Hotel which has notoriously small rooms (even by NYC standards)... would this be an acceptable outcome?

Price is the biggest factor, however if the cost is minimal between locations ($10 difference or so), I would consider paying a little more to be in a preferred location (close to time square).  

Based on your comment regarding CPS, I wouldn't want Hudson, so I'll rule out that zone.  Thanks!

At current rates i don't think you'll be successful for a 4* hotel in TS, MTE, or MTW at $150 or less... you would more likely need to be in the $165-$185 range. HOWEVER, if you're able/willing to include ESB in your bidding then i think you can be successful within your current budget.

Should we include ESB in the bidding and stick with your current maximum bid? Should we only bid TS, MTE, and MTW up to $150 and then if rejected also include ESB... OR do you want to increase your budget for the TS, MTW, and MTW zones?
