kelley765 Posted June 20, 2015 Report Posted June 20, 2015 The current hotel list doesn't show any 5* in this area. Doing a little of my own research I found The Chatwal and the Baccarat that have these amenities and are in Times Square. Has anyone reported getting either of those? Also, when I clicked on it as if I were going to book it, it said that the last person got The Knickerbocker - which seems odd, because it is available for about $270 through multiple sites? Here is the complete list of amenities: FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Pet friendly, Indoor pool(s), Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Self-service laundry, Internet access, Spa services, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower Thanks in advance for your help.
thereuare Posted June 20, 2015 Report Posted June 20, 2015 Welcome to BetterBidding! Please start by reading your messages (which will also remove the red box at the top of the page and make the board easier to navigate) I'm not currently seeing this one offered when searching HOTWIRE for your dates, but if you still are, The Chatwal New York would be my best guess for this one. What are your needs for this trip? Are you willing to spend $400+ on a hotel room for this nite? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. kelley765 Posted June 20, 2015 Author Report Posted June 20, 2015 Thanks for your reply. I agree that $400 seems really high for a hotel room for one night, but my husband has already booked a cancellable room at the Doubletree Times Square at the advice of one of his friends who told him this would be a great place to stay ($500, including tax). He is taking our two daughters (age 12 and 7) to visit grandparents & they will have one night in the city before going to be with his family. None of them have ever been to NYC. I felt certain that I could either find something much nicer for that price range or possibly find something equally as conveniently located for their stay for much less. My other option is a 4.5 * Times Sq/Theatre District for $225, which I think I have identified as the Hyatt Times Square due to to the amenity list:FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Internet access. This looks like a great alternative to the Doubletree to me. For some reason, when I click on this through your Bidding Helper link, I get the following message: This itinerary's no longer available on our site. Good deals come and go fast. Here are some new ones right now. When I go through Hotwire's site, this does not happen. I am allowed to get all the way to the page where I can purchase the room. Any ideas why this is happening?

kelley765 Posted June 21, 2015 Author Report Posted June 21, 2015 Thanks for your help. I waited a little too late so the price went up by $5, but I think it's a good deal on a hotel in a great location for their first trip to the city. I booked through the HOTWIRE link on your site.
AaronJB Posted June 21, 2015 Report Posted June 21, 2015 Congrats on your success. :)Very nice win for this well-located and newer property. Thank you for sharing your win and using the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches. Enjoy your stay.
