mja14 Posted June 15, 2015 Report Posted June 15, 2015 Have a few different options, trying to narrow down what they may be…. November 20-22 4.5* Magnificent Mile - River North$105 - 95% recommendedFULL AMENITIES: Pet friendly, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access I'm guessing the Westin since no free internet? Also the InterContinental is listed as sold out. 4* Magnificent Mile - River North$108 - 70% recommendedFULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Boutique hotel, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Spa services, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Wheelchair accessible, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in shower I know this is more generic and may be more difficult to narrow down - but seemed like a low recommend rate. 4* Chicago Loop - Theater District$89 - 85% recommendedFULL AMENITIES: Pet friendly, Boutique hotel, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Spa services I'm not super picky on area, but Hotel Allegro and the W are not ideal locations for me. Thanks!
AaronJB Posted June 15, 2015 Report Posted June 15, 2015 Welcome to Betterbidding. I don't blame you on your note regarding the Allegro/W City Center. The West Loop is quiet at night and there's a lot that's closed on Saturday and/or Sunday. 4.5* Mag Mile-RN - Likely Westin RN. 4* Mag Mile-RN - Likely Felix 4* Loop - Not yet ID'd/reported to the board, but may be a new amenity set for the Allegro or Hard Rock. Of these, I'd go with the likely Westin RN without hesitation. Please keep us updated with what you decide and let us know if you have additional questions. I'm very familiar with the area - please let me know if you have any city or other hotel questions. mja14 Posted June 17, 2015 Author Report Posted June 17, 2015 Thanks Aaron. I'd agree that the Westin would be a great option, but have one more deal come up as I looked again! 4* - Chicago Loop/Theater District$78/nightFULL AMENITIES: Free breakfast, Free Internet, Fitness center, Internet access Obviously the only real unique thing would be the free breakfast - I have no idea what hotel that would be. Any ideas?
AaronJB Posted June 17, 2015 Report Posted June 17, 2015 That one is definitely a mystery and appears to be an entirely new hotel for the service. It may be something else, but I'd say the new Hyatt Place Loop (which doesn't open until 7/2) would be a maybe. The other thought would be that it's the Buckingham Athletic Club, which - if that's the case - would be a unique experience but not a great location. May be something else, but in any case, price certainly isn't bad. mja14 Posted June 17, 2015 Author Report Posted June 17, 2015 Both of those would be in a non-ideal area I think (although the Athletic Club is listed on Hotwire as a 3.5 star). Not sure I'm willing to take that big of a risk in this area. The $88 4 star boutique is also still listed. Thanks for your help!
AaronJB Posted June 17, 2015 Report Posted June 17, 2015 Happy to help! :)Personally, if you're going to be out later at night, I'd stay North of the River. Although they are paid upgrades, if you can negotiate a river view room on a higher floor, those rooms at the Westin do offer classic views.
