Hotwire Hotel: 4* Paris (Montmartre - Moulin Rouge - Sacre Coeur) Villa Eugenie

Persistence pays off when you get a crap hotel.

 

Listed as free internet, business center.  60% recommended. Watched for several days and it listed that people got several really nice hotels. Decided to go for it and got Villa Eugenie. Terrible bummer. Have you read the reviews? Right next to the train station.  $765 all in which is barely less than going rate!

 

Was going to just walk away and decided to call Hotwire. Talked to several people in a foreign country and asked to speak to supervisor. They tried to say I was toast. Explained that I was a frequent buyer and that this really was not a 4 star hotel and had really poor reviews. Finally reached supervisor in US who agreed that based on reviews it really was not a great hotel, said they would credit me on another hotel buy. Decided to not take chances and bid on a known quantity and now am staying at Citidines Les Halles!

Sorry to see this one was not a good outcome but glad to see you were able to work out a resolution with HOTWIRE and you're not pleased with the results.

I believe there may have been more amenities than you listed in your post, which would not have been seen unless you clicked the 'See all' link during the check-out process.
