kstgelais4 Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 We need a hotel from 2/19/06-2/24/06 somewhere in either WDW vicinity, or Universal area. The highest price we would like to pay is probably $60 per night. We will be at the parks most of the time so something super nice isn't really needed, but it would be a bonus if we sould get something real nice. Has someone gotten the swan or dolphin recently, because I would be willing to bid more if the chance was there. Thanks for your help.Kelly
thereuare Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 Welcome to BetterBidding! What is the minimum star level you are willing to accept? (the Swan and Dolphin are usually only seen during periods of very low occupancy)Let us know and we'll suggest a strategy to follow. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
kstgelais4 Posted January 11, 2006 Author Report Posted January 11, 2006 I would prefer a three star or above. Yea, I think the dates we are staying will not be best for the swan or dolphin as it is presidents day week. :) thanksKelly
thereuare Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 I think you should be able to get a hotel within your budget... do you have a preference for the WDW or Universal zone, or is price the most important factor? (the strategy we suggest can be tailored towards price or zone preference) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
kstgelais4 Posted January 11, 2006 Author Report Posted January 11, 2006 I really don't care where we stay. We have a car and will be driving everywhere. We just want to saty close to one of the parks. I think I just want to get the best price possible;)

kstgelais4 Posted January 19, 2006 Author Report Posted January 19, 2006 2.5* Orlando Main gate/ Champions gate the amenities are : resteraunt, pool, fitness, bussness, and laundry. I was thinking it was the La Quinta. If it is, is it worth the $32 they are asking, or should I book a higher *? TIA!kelly
thereuare Posted January 19, 2006 Report Posted January 19, 2006 I assume this is for the same stay as your previous thread which i have now merged into one?Have you tried the above bidding at all? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
kstgelais4 Posted January 19, 2006 Author Report Posted January 19, 2006 Oops... I was trying to post that on the hotwire forum. I wanted help IDing the hotel in the maingate section. I did try bidding with no success thus far. I used all my free rebids I got up to $51 with no sucess. So I went over to hotwire and found this other hotel, that I was trying to ID. Sorry for the confusion.Kelly
thereuare Posted January 19, 2006 Report Posted January 19, 2006 You did originally post this in the Hotwire section of the board, but i merged it here... please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thead (even if it crosses Priceline/HOTWIRE links... we'll ultimately move it if necessary once a hotel is won).I don't think the above is the La Quinta as the amenties don't match... a better guess would be the Best Western Lakeside. runNgun Posted January 20, 2006 Report Posted January 20, 2006 FYI - history of Best Western Lakesidecurrent BWbefore that La Quinta Lakeside (lasted maybe 1-2 years)before that Sheraton Four Points
