Hotwire Hotel: Help finding a hotel

Hello,

 

I need to find a hotel in NYC for Wednesday June third.  Prices look high.

 

My budget is $300 or less, although I prefer to be under $250.

 

Ideal area is midtown east, empire state building, or union square areas.

 

I see a 4-star on hotwire for $294.  Midtown east area hotel, 95% recommended.  Overall satisfaction is 4.5. Amenities are:  business center, free breakfast, fitness center, restaurants, free internet, and self-service laundry.  Can you help me ID this hotel?

 

Any other recommendations on bidding strategy?  Priceline or Hotwire is fine.  Lowest rate is the key.

What is the lowest star rating you're willing to accept for this stay?

As you mention budget is the primary concern, are you willing to stay in the Downtown-Financial District zone (which is often a little cheaper than midtown)... what about zones other than MTE, ESB, and Union Square? Where does location fall in relation to budget in the hierarchy of priorities?

I will also note that i'm seeing on PRICELINE EXPRESS this 4 star Times Square property with Pets Allowed, Restaurant, Business Center, Fitness Center which at $255/nite is near your budget, but there is also a $27 resort fee payable directly to the hotel (my guess for this one would be the Crowne Plaza) which does generally get very good reviews and has a good location.

HI, Budget is more important than star rating. As long as the hotel is clean, comfortable and quiet, that is sufficient.  My meeting is mid-town east.  As long as I can get there easily, any location will do.  Any further insight is appreciated.

Where exactly (address or cross streets) is your meeting as you may then be able to focus on zones (or hotels) that have subway lines that go near your meeting location.
