Hi,

This is my first post in this forum. I have used bidding helper and have found this hotel that I thought would be nice. I will be with my parents so we are a party of 3.

Dates are between 5/22 and 5/26 i.e. 4 nights.

Magnificent Mile North - Water Tower

FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Indoor pool(s), Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access

$135 per night.

However, if I choose occupancy for 2 people the price is $108 and for 3 it is $135.

Looks like the hotel is Hyatt Mag Mile from what I see in the forum.

Also, Can you please suggest any other areas in Chicago and I would prefer a nicer hotel. Also, I'm driving into Chicago and I noticed that none of the Mag mile properties have free parking. I wouldn't mind spending a a bit for parking if this is the most convenient place.

Any advise will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Sean

Welcome to Betterbidding.

It's not unusual to see a mildly higher price when searching for three. If you search via a service like Expedia, you will often see "extra person fees" when searching for more than 2 people, especially in major cities.

Only one hotel in the downtown area offers free parking - the Best Western River North. Unfortunately, otherwise hotel parking is expensive or very expensive. City lots (Navy Pier, Millennium Park) are expensive, but not as bad. In Chicago, I would suggest staying North of the river, which in terms of Hot.wire is the North part of the NMA area ("Mag Mile N-Water Tower") and the South part of the NMA area, plus much of the River North area ("Mag Mile--River North")

What would be your desired max budget per night for this stay?

Hi Aaron,

Thanks for your quick reply. I'm comfortable spending anywhere between $130 and $150 incl taxes per night. I would prefer staying somewhere close so that I can walk or take the bus/metro to a lot of places rather than stay in the burbs and drive.

If you have any other suggestions where it might work out cheaper I'm fine with that too.

Would Mag Mile be the best place to stay or would you suggest any other area where we can walk and explore Chicago.

This is my first trip to Chicago so sorry for asking too many questions.

Any advise would be great!

Thanks in advance!
