Hotwire Hotel: 2.5* Tacoma (Tacoma South - Lakewood) Comfort Inn Tacoma

Hey everyone,

First off, really great resource here; it has helped my bidding a lot.

Anyway, I'm trying to use Priceline for the 1st time to book a hotel in the Lakewood / Tacoma South area for 2 nights.

I need it 8/8/15 - 8/10/15.

The recent winning bids showed $58 to $61 for a 2.5* hotel in this area.  I've tried bids from $55 to $65 per night, using $1 increments, and they all failed (I waited 2+ hours between bids too).

Am I bidding too early?  Otherwise I don't see why my bids aren't being accepted.

P.S. - Has anyone had success requesting a non-smoking room after Priceline booked them a smoking one?  Really hoping for a non-smoking room.

Rates really do vary by date/s and what other users may have gotten for other dates is not necessarily an indicator. That said, you're likely not that far off. At this point, I'm seeing a Hot.wire listing (2.5*) in Tacoma-Lakewood for $62 - are you seeing any listings of interest on PRICELINE EXPRESS?

I actually ended up going with Hot.wire.  They had the deal you mentioned ($63 per night).  I ended up with about $146 for the 2 nights after adding taxes and fees; happy customer indeed!

BTW, the hotel ended up being the Comfort Inn Tacoma; I think the other possibility was the Red Lion.
