blondee43 Posted May 14, 2015 Report Posted May 14, 2015 Hello, This is my first time using Price.line name your price, and I was hoping to get some bidding help. I'm looking to bid on a 4* hotel in the Back Bay area of Boston (needs to be close to my school, Simmons College). I'll be there 8/20-8/23. I was thinking of starting at $150 since I saw a couple of hotels on Travelocity for around $220/night. Is this completely unreasonable? Any other suggestions for a bidding starting point? Thanks so much!
AaronJB Posted May 14, 2015 Report Posted May 14, 2015 Welcome to Betterbidding. :) The issue with bidding is that you have to be willing to stay anywhere within the shaded zone area. Does anywhere in the Back Bay zone get you close enough to your school? HOTWIRE or PRICELINE EXPRESS may be a better idea if you want to try and get something closer, as given the information those services provide one can often make an educated guess as to which hotels are showing. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
thereuare Posted May 15, 2015 Report Posted May 15, 2015 Which 4* hotels did you see on Travelocity in the $220-area? You can also try searching our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com which will show you hotels near almost any address in the world, and the interface makes it very easy to see how much more/less it would cost to go up/down in star rating OR to stay closer/further from your ideal location. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
