I've been trying to book a room for my husband's business trip for about a month.  I haven't been bidding down to 3 stars, but the last 2 nights I've tried it as we're getting a bit desperate.  This is the highest dollar amount I've bid.  My one prior bid tonight was 3.5 star / $120 and was declined.

 

Last year, he went to the same conference and we paid less than $100 and got the Intercontinental.  Prices are just higher all around this year.  Maybe the holiday?

 

Anyways, I'm glad we finally got something.
