A wild guess would be the Hotel Hacienda Real del Caribe

I ended up booking Xtudio Comfort Hotel by Xperience Hotels, Playa del Carmen .

 

It was $63 including taxes for 1 night.

 

I could not find this hotel on the mapsandhotel.com   website.

 

The couple of times I clicked on hotwire in separate weeks it did mention the last person got: Hotel Hacienda Real del Caribe for the 4* Centro Area Playa Del Carmen I tried to ID, but ended up not booking.

I could not find this hotel on the mapsandhotel.com   website.

I see it at MAPS and HOTELS.com... searching '5 miles of Playa del Carmen', then on the left side under 'Search by Hotel Name' enter Xtudio and you will see it in the drop down menu.
